COVID-19 Notice

We have made some adjustments to our normal procedures to best protect our clients, ourselves, and our staff.

There will be no walk-in appointments until further notice. If you need a consultation and/or have questions, you may contact our office. A phone or teleconference will be scheduled at that time with the appropriate attorney. If you need documents drafted. We will draft your documents and exchange them either electronically or via regular mail, depending upon your preference, until we have final versions that have been completely reviewed and agreed by all and thus ready to be signed. Please be sure any questions and/or possible revisions are fully discussed and resolved before scheduling your signing appointment.

When it comes time to sign the documents, you have several options:

1. Reception area signing – our building has a reception area that we are using exclusively for signing meetings. The table and chairs are wiped down before and after each signing meeting. When you arrive at our office, you can call your attorney from your cellphone to their landline phone when you arrive at the building. You will be directed to come into our reception area. The documents will be on the table and ready for your signature. The witnesses and attorney will either be inside the front office looking in or at the far side of the hall. Everyone wears masks and gloves. It’s usually a very quick meeting where you sign the documents, the attorney takes affidavit, and you then leave. Afterward the documents are signed by the witnesses and notary.

2. Front porch signing – when you arrive at our office, you can call your attorney from your cellphone to their landline phone. You will be directed to come to the front porch area. The documents will be on the table and ready for your signature. Witnesses and the attorney will stand inside our office and observe you signing them through the glass. Everyone wears masks and gloves. It’s usually a very quick meeting where you sign the documents, the attorney takes affidavit; over the phone, and you then leave. Once the documents are signed, they can be left on the table for the attorney to gather them and then notarize and return to you.

3. In-car signing – Call your attorney on their landline phone before arriving at the office. Your documents will be available when you arrive. Witnesses and the attorney will stand outside your vehicle and observe you signing them. Everyone wears masks and gloves. When you are done you will place the documents outside your car and drive away. The documents are then signed by the witnesses and notary.

This is the new reality we all face, and we are adapting to it as well as we can and following the guidelines that seem to be issued and updated daily.
